CW Systems is introducing a clearer, performance-led way to specify paint finishes across our shutter range, alongside the launch of VeilCote – a next-generation shutter finish engineered for durability and surface performance.

The update introduces three defined finish systems: Select, VeilCote, and KnoxCote. Giving customers a simpler way to choose the right coating based on durability, scratch resistance, and long-term performance.

Rather than linking finishes to specific materials, CW Systems has separated the specification into two clear decisions: material and finish. The material provides the structural performance of the shutter, while the finish determines how the painted surface performs over time. This shift creates a more transparent and logical way to compare the offering.

At the centre of this update is VeilCote. A completely new paint system designed to exceed the performance of traditional water-based coatings. A multi-layer shutter finish, VeilCote combines a low-VOC undercoat with a crosslinked polymer topcoat and advanced sealing layer technology. The result is a finish that delivers superior scratch resistance, improved abrasion protection, and stronger resistance to everyday cleaning and handling.

Beyond durability, VeilCote delivers a refined low-sheen appearance with exceptional colour clarity, including what is currently the purest white finish available within the CW Systems range. Currently available within the Bayview Collection with plans to expand more broadly.

Within the updated finish family, Select continues as a cost-effective water-based coating for projects prioritising appearance and value, while KnoxCote remains the ultimate two-pac shutter finish engineered for maximum hardness and commercial-grade durability.
